learning to be brave with my art even in all its imperfections.
my heart for this year is to not categorize myself in a certain box, but to just be an artist.
i wasn't going to originally share this, because it's rather rough right now.
i can pick out all the mistakes (cracks in my voice, missed keys, moments of hesitation). but :
I love this song so much and I've had several people ask.
so in all it's messy beauty...here it is. :)

    This is lovely hannah. I've actually be learning this on the guitar. So pretty. Thing is: I love that it has a few rough spots, and the fact that there are little voices in the background is just beautiful. So genuine and real. xoxo.

    I want so much to just listen to that over and over.

    I know what's it's like to try to be brave. It's so easy to hide and be afraid. (Additionally, it's easy to not do something because no one else does it, because you haven't seen it done before.) I hid for far too long and I'm just now coming out of my shell. Thank you for being brave and passing the torch.

    I love our piano -- it's over 100 years old (I think 101 or 102) and we've had it since I was five.

    ohmystars. HANNAH! this is absolutely lovely! seriously, I feel at loss for words. Your voice is so clear and like somebody else said, it's like a bell. Honestly, I really don't like the original version of this song, but I love this. I don't know how many times I have replayed it. seriously, I would lovelovelove to hear more recordings!! You have a load of talent, girl!

    i've trying typing this comment several times, but i just can't seem to find the right words to tell you how i love this. it made me tear up.

    your voice is haunting and stunning and fits everything i've ever heard about you and everything you've said about yourself. your voice fits the image of you i have in my heart :)

    now i'll have your voice in my head singing this all evening. i could listen to this lots and not get tired of it.
