I know who Goes before me.

"I know who goes before me
I know who stands behind
The God of angel armies
Is always by my side
The One who reigns forever
He is a friend of mine
The God of angel armies
Is always by my side."

— Whom Shall I Fear, Chris Tomlin.
sang this in Church tonight.

the roof resounded and the room rang and the Holy Spirit moved.
joy.

to be able to help lead worship is such a blessing.
Praise Jesus for who He is.
Praise Him for what He has done.
Thanking Him that we can gather with believers to have fellowship and lift up His name.

That's something I take far too lightly. Living in America, it's just what I've known. Grateful to have grown up in a home and family of believers. Grateful to have been able to worship in freedom. Grateful that we can seek His name because of who He is.

He is a friend of mine.
How my heart sings and my whole being rejoices to say that.

  5. amen, Hannah. :) this is one of my favorite songs--and the words always touch me. so grateful that we can (like you said) seek Him and Praise Him because of WHO HE IS. there is no doubt; we know how good God is to us, and that (should) makes our praise so much more heart-felt. He is so good. x

  6. I love this song too, and funny enough, our pastor preached (partially) on freedom of worship yesterday, he said "This is no small blessing." But I think sometimes we don't realize, just how great it is. That when somebody asks us to come over on Sunday we can say "No, I'm going to church." and not be killed. Or beaten. It's an incredible blessing.

  7. such powerful lyrics. it is definitely a blessing to have the freedom to praise our Lord and worship and learn about Him without fear; definitely something we ALL take for granted.
